Doordash-All-the-ads

Believe it or not, when I first put this idea into the pitch deck, it got hidden. The original name for this Super Bowl idea was called “Ads To Cart”. I understood why it as hidden—It was the dumbest best thing we could ask a client to seriously consider doing. BUT HEY, you don’t come to W+K for a scoop of vanilla, and the brief was to demonstrate how Doordash can Doordash almost anything—so why not doordash all the ads???

The idea was a little crazy on its own, so it was adopted as a mechanism into a different idea. The clients thankfully just wanted the crazy part.

So we created a spot and nailed an insane social concept that was all parts planned + reactive + live…not to mention doing all this while figuring out how to partner with 76 brands.

This thing almost died a million times. Still don’t know how tf we actually somehow really kind of basically totally did this.

It was Super Bowl history after we did.

Awards

We were fortunate enough as a team to win many awards for this idea. Here’s a few of the standouts including two “Best of Show” awards at One Show, two Webbys, and a handful of Gold and silver Cannes Lions—Including the Dan Wieden Tianium Grand Prix.

This was the first time that W+K has won this award.
