NIKE ARCHIVES // DESTROY: NEVER

The Department of Nike Archives is a top secret, nondescript warehouse around Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. For the first-time in Nike history, we got them to open their doors and create an editorial series to show the world some of the priceless artifacts hiding inside. Each episode also came with teasers, and cut downs built specifically for Nike’s Instagram and TikTok as well.

What many people don’t know is that this Indiana Jones-esque warehouse is full of thousands of unopened boxes that could contain another holy grail of sport. They’re finding new things every day, so we wanted to bring the world in with our host Robbie Digital who’s a real Department of Nike Archives employee. When my partner and I were touring the space, the name for this series came to life when I saw that every single box was labeled with a “Destroy by Date: Never”. I said, “Let’s just call it Destory: Never!” I wrote each episode and co-directed with Tom Lock.
